New Around Here?

Thank you for your interest in the Infant and Child Studies Research Consortium. Sign up to be contacted when your child is the right age for a child development study at the University of Maryland, College Park. All of your information will be kept completely confidential and only used to determine if your child is in age range for one of our studies. You will be contacted by University of Maryland researchers who investigate topics such as memory, social cognition, language acquisition, and speech development. With the help of families like yours, we are able to improve our understanding of the developing child.

Here's how it works:
  • Once you sign up to join our confidential family list and have confirmed your information, we will email or call you when your child is in an age-range for one of our studies.
  • The researcher contacting you will tell you what the study involves: how long the study will be, the game or video your child will watch, and our research aims. Good research means good study design. We design our studies to be fun, enjoyable, and age-appropriate.
  • If you and your child are interested in participating in the study, we can schedule an appointment at a time that works best for you.
  • Participating in each study is always voluntary and you or your child may withdraw at any time.
